The Fake Sky That Really Was

I don't think much of the North Dakota landscape. I grew up there and to me, it is too flat, too boring, too nothing, not very interesting at all. Too much flat and much too boring to drive across and all pretty much the same for too many miles. But sometimes, like this day, it takes my breath away. This is how it really looked, patterns of light and shadow on the land and amazing colors of blue in the sky. I was glad to be alive and glad to be there!

  1. "Flat" is an understatement, if that is possible. But, you're right - with a few clouds it can be beautiful.
