First of Winter
It was the first real snow to me today! There was enough coming down that I was able to catch snowflakes on my tongue. It was not the usual soft fluffy stuff, but more like pellets. I even picked some off my jacket sleeve to melt in my mouth. They made sort of a sh-sh-sh sound coming down and bounced a little when they hit the ground. When there is snow you can play with, no matter how little of it there is, it certainly is really and truly winter.

Gosh, I just SO miss the snow. Keep up these kinds of posts so I can enjoy the white stuff vicariously, my preferred method of experiencing frozen h2o. How about some pics?
oh! liar liar liar! i know where you are hiding! you are GLAD to be away from it. go to the mall and find one of those water filled globe thingies and shake it up and get over it. you don't really miss snow any more than you miss a toothache after it is gone. you just pretend you do so you will appear, what, sensitive? artistic? what? get a grip.
Oh, sob, you've revealed me for what I am - A COLD HATER! When I tell people that I grew up in North Dakota I also tell them my theory of "CDQ" (Cold Days Quota). We all have a different quota and I just happened to exceed mine many years ago. Give me heat. Give me humidity. Give me sweating and heavy breathing and...whoops, got sidetracked there. Anyway, it's not the snow I hate - I actually like slipping down Tweedle Dee or Tweedle Dum at Winter Park with two long slabs of fiberglass beneath my feet. It's the gosh darn cold that does me in. If that make me sensitive, so me it. If that make me artistic, alleluja. Go make a snowperson...
